{"id":124037,"date":"2026-01-21T11:31:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T03:31:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vtech.com\/en\/?post_type=job_opportunities&#038;p=124037"},"modified":"2026-01-21T11:31:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T03:31:23","slug":"assistant-purchasing-supervisor-purchasing-supervisor","status":"publish","type":"job_opportunities","link":"https:\/\/www.vtech.com\/sc\/job_opportunities\/assistant-purchasing-supervisor-purchasing-supervisor\/","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Purchasing Supervisor \/ Purchasing Supervisor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supplier Management: Source, select, and manage suppliers through negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation (KPIs).<\/li>\n<li>Market and Cost Analysis: Strong data analysis for market trends, cost analysis, and performance metrics.<\/li>\n<li>Cost Control: Compare quotes, analyze costs, negotiate aggressively, and plan budgets to secure the best prices and achieve cost-saving targets.<\/li>\n<li>Order Fulfillment: Issue purchase orders and diligently track shipments to ensure materials arrive on time to meet production schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Problem Resolution: Quickly address material quality or delivery issues with suppliers to prevent production line disruptions.<\/li>\n<li>Strategy &amp; Process: Support the development of purchasing strategies, optimize procurement systems, and stay updated on market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.<\/li>\n<li>Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., PMC, production, logistics) and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with engineering on component selection and sourcing alternatives.<br \/>Supervisory duties, leading teams, developing strategic purchasing plans, and having greater responsibility for budgeting and vendor relationship management.<\/li>\n<li>Lead contract negotiations and secure long-term agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Willing to stay in DG factory in 3 days and travel to supplier sites or industry events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li>5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. Familiarity with electronic\/mechanical components is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising a purchasing team or leading procurement projects.<br \/>Skills Required:<\/li>\n<li>Market trend knowledge, Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and strategic thinking for cost analysis and market insight.<\/li>\n<li>Leadership: Ability to mentor, train, and manage a purchasing team.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation: Strong persuasive and communication skills for contracts and pricing.<\/li>\n<li>Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making in fast-paced environments.<\/li>\n<li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, quality, logistics, and production teams<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in Putonghua and English (written and verbal) is
