NPI Lead

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute the NPI Center’s strategy, capability roadmap, and service portfolio;
  • Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and service opportunities to strengthen VTech CMS’s competitive position;
  • Lead technical evaluation of new customer opportunities;
  • Assess project feasibility, resource requirements, development schedules, manufacturing readiness, risks, and cost structures;
  • Lead multiple NPI projects from concept development through prototype delivery;
  • Establish project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies;
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal teams during project execution;
  • Provide Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM), Design-for-Test (DFT), cost optimization, and production readiness recommendations;
  • Plan, organize, and host seminars, technical workshops, conferences, webinars, and customer engagement events to promote VTech CMS NPI services and manufacturing capabilities;
  • Lead production transfer readiness assessments and exit-gate reviews;
  • Develop and enhance NPI processes, procedures, templates, and governance models.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in NPI, product development, engineering project management, or manufacturing engineering;
  • Experience in electronics, robotics, IoT, consumer products, industrial products, medical devices, or related industries is preferred;
  • Proven experience managing customer-facing engineering projects from concept through production;
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and NPI processes;
  • Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing, PCBA assembly, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing processes;
  • Strong project planning, risk management, and cost analysis capabilities.
