Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Technical Manager (Robotics) to provide technical leadership in robotics and intelligent system product development. This role focuses on technical architecture, engineering decision-making, system integration, and problem solving rather than project schedule management.

The role acts as a technical lead across electronics, embedded software, motor/control systems, sensors, mechanical design, AI/vision, QA, and manufacturing teams, ensuring robotic products are robust, manufacturable, and ready for commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead robotics system architecture definition, technical feasibility assessment, design reviews, and technical risk evaluation from concept to productization.
  • Define and review technical requirements for embedded systems, sensors, actuators, motor control, power electronics, connectivity, safety, and system integration.
  • Guide engineers in debugging complex system-level issues involving hardware, firmware, software, mechanical integration, control behavior, thermal, reliability, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Review test plans, validation methods, engineering reports, and design verification results for robotics functions, system reliability, and product performance.
  • Work closely with electronics, firmware, software, mechanical, QA, NPI, production, and supplier teams to resolve design and integration issues.
  • Support technical evaluation and selection of key components, modules, sensors, motors, controllers, embedded platforms, and third-party technology partners.
  • Drive engineering best practices for system design, interface definition, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-test, reliability, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor engineers and strengthen team capability in robotics system design, embedded development, integration testing, and structured troubleshooting.
  • Support customer, management, supplier, and internal technical reviews where technical explanation or decision support is required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics, embedded systems, intelligent devices, automation, mechatronics, or complex electromechanical product development; more experienced candidates may be considered for senior-level responsibility.
  • Strong technical understanding of embedded systems, sensors, actuators, motor/control systems, connectivity, system integration, and product-level engineering trade-offs.
  • Experience leading technical design reviews, root-cause analysis, validation planning, and cross-discipline engineering problem solving.
  • Good understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including concept design, EVT/DVT/PVT, NPI, mass production, and post-launch technical support.
  • Ability to collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, QA, manufacturing, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-location teams, including Hong Kong, Shenzhen, suppliers, ODM/OEM partners, or overseas customers.
  • More experience will be considered as Senior Technical Manager.

Personal data collected will be used for recruitment purposes only.

Applicants not invited for an interview within 4 weeks may consider their applications unsuccessful. We will retain the applications for a maximum period of 6 months and may refer them to suitable openings within our Group.
