Gigaset, Europe’s market leader for DECT telephones, is entering the baby monitor market. With this expansion of its portfolio, Gigaset is continuing its many years of experience and expertise in modern communication technology, security and privacy protection – qualities that customers have known and appreciated from the company’s cordless DECT phones for decades.
The new baby monitors from Gigaset offer parents reliable monitoring of their baby and thus comprehensive protection for their little ones. The focus is on a secure connection between the parent and baby unit as well as the best image and sound quality in data transmission. Customers can also rely on the proven Gigaset service in this new product category. The launch of the baby monitors marks a milestone in Gigaset’s further growth and reorientation.
There will be four different models at the launch, from an audio-only baby monitor to a video baby monitor with a large screen and its own app for the smartphone. The unique portfolio was designed at Gigaset in Bocholt. The joint development resources and industry experience of the new parent company VTech were also utilised for the first time.
The new portfolio will be presented to a specialist audience for the first time at the ‘Kind + Jugend’ trade fair in Cologne from 3 September 2024. The products will initially be available on the German and Austrian markets. Sales are expected to start in spring 2025.
