Assistant Purchasing Supervisor / Purchasing Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Source, select, and manage suppliers through negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation (KPIs).
  • Market and Cost Analysis: Strong data analysis for market trends, cost analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Cost Control: Compare quotes, analyze costs, negotiate aggressively, and plan budgets to secure the best prices and achieve cost-saving targets.
  • Order Fulfillment: Issue purchase orders and diligently track shipments to ensure materials arrive on time to meet production schedules.
  • Problem Resolution: Quickly address material quality or delivery issues with suppliers to prevent production line disruptions.
  • Strategy & Process: Support the development of purchasing strategies, optimize procurement systems, and stay updated on market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., PMC, production, logistics) and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering on component selection and sourcing alternatives.
    Supervisory duties, leading teams, developing strategic purchasing plans, and having greater responsibility for budgeting and vendor relationship management.
  • Lead contract negotiations and secure long-term agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Willing to stay in DG factory in 3 days and travel to supplier sites or industry events.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry. Familiarity with electronic/mechanical components is a plus.
  • Supervising a purchasing team or leading procurement projects.
    Skills Required:
  • Market trend knowledge, Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking for cost analysis and market insight.
  • Leadership: Ability to mentor, train, and manage a purchasing team.
  • Negotiation: Strong persuasive and communication skills for contracts and pricing.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making in fast-paced environments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, quality, logistics, and production teams
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Fluency in Putonghua and English (written and verbal) is required.
