Chief V.Flash Officer Challenge Sends Kids on the Ultimate “Job” Interview
24 July 2006
Chicago – For every parent who dreams their child would be a successful CEO someday – VTech Electronics North America, the creator of the Electronic Learning Products category, can make them a CVO today through its Chief V.Flash™ Officer (CVO) Challenge. The CVO Challenge is a national contest honoring kids who show leadership and enthusiasm for learning and having fun both in and out of the classroom.
“The VTech CVO Challenge is unique because it allows kids to use their creativity and have fun while learning,” said Julia Fitzgerald, vice president of marketing, VTech Electronics North America. “This is our way to give back and acknowledge kids who like to learn and have fun, but who also really go that extra mile and would be a perfect fit for the role of VTech’s first CVO.”
How it works
From July 24 through August 18, 2006, parents and family members can enter the VTech CVO Challenge by writing a short (200 words or less) essay describing a child they know who demonstrates the VTech CVO “job qualifications.”
Twenty-five kids will be selected to become part of the VTech V.Flash Team and be the first kids in America to receive an advance copy of the new V.Flash Home Edutainment System from VTech. V.Flash Team members will be asked to complete the CVO Challenge, which includes a variety of exciting activities such as testing the new V.Flash Home Edutainment System, sharing the news about the new system with friends and family, and using their imagination and creativity to come up with the next V.Flash game.
Three to five members of the V.Flash Team will be selected as finalists to be VTech’sCVO. America will then vote online at www.vflashtv.com for the overall winner, who willultimately be named the first-ever VTech CVO.
VTech CVO “Job Description and Compensation”
The VTech CVO will receive a $10,000 college scholarship, a trip to the VTech headquarters in Chicago and a shopping spree to get them ready for a day on the job at VTech. While visiting VTech’s headquarters, the CVO will have the opportunity to meet the VTech staff, get a sneak peek at new VTech products and write a letter from the “Desk of the VTech CVO” that will be posted on www.vtechkids.com.
